I've experienced my fair share of the net when I was younger too, but yeah... I just couldn't remain on a site as if I were complicit in the content there! Awful place to be. Do not recommend at all!

hey evil! i saw a new thumbnail in my follower list and saw that it's you, so i went to check it out. this looks really pretty !!! and it reminds me a lot of studio ghibli films. i hope you don't mind that i am perceiving this. looking forward to your final decision on the site's look :)) also w/o getting into too much i can really relate to the ocd struggles as someone who's had to go on meds years ago for the exact same diagnosis as well. it gets better, i promise <3 seeking reassurance for ocd can be detrimental at least for my case so ill try not to do the same here, just letting you know you're not alone. take care and have a good weekend ahead! ^^

Hi friend! To be honest, I still don't enjoy this new look either LOL... I'm like 99% decided to just throw all design out the window and simply link to pages like a sitemap. Throw all of my creative energy into pages that aren't my homepage. At least that way I might stop stressing about it... And thank you so much for letting me know I'm not alone! I feel like a lot of people are scared to talk about their OCD struggles, which I completely empathise with! But it often leaves me feeling alone, and strengthens my intrusive thoughts that I'm evil. Sort of like... Maybe I AM right in these thoughts, because no one else is talking about the issues I face? Which is silly, but I hope that by me talking about my struggles, I can remedy those feelings for others. So thank you, again. I hope you're so well!

Use google, there's lots of code snippets! I find grid layouts to be really easy to edit, especially as a noob. Host your own images. Have fun and practice!
